 Okay, but not for night viewing through a window Aug 22, 2008
If you are wanting to use this to look out a window at night beware. At night the leds for the night vision will flash on and then the reflection will cause them to go back off. Once darkness returns in a few seconds the camera's leds will flash back on. When this happens the entire screen turns white and nothing can be seen for several seconds. Because of this I am not getting the use out of it that I had intended. I have contacted a few professionals in regards to this problem and I have been told that any camera with leds will have trouble when viewing through glass because of the reflection.
You could try to cover the leds up with electrical tape or something. Although I found it to be too dark to work without the leds in the area I need it for. By the way the minimum illumination for this camera, since it doesn't mention it here, is 0.5 lux.
As for the motion sensor, it does work through glass but at the settings I've had it at it seems to be too sensitive and will take pictures even when cars drive by which are greater than 25 feet away. I've tried turning the sensitivity down although I haven't tried it at its lowest setting yet.
If you aren't needing a camera for the purpose I have mentioned then this camera is okay, particularly if you are looking for portability because apparently you can buy a 9 volt battery adapter for it. Despite this, I do not believe it is worth 200 dollars. It reminds me of a webcam and I think I only paid about 50 dollars for one of those a few years ago. Some websites are even charging 250.00 for the Cybereye.
I wish I would've just invested more money in a better camera initially. I think it's difficult to find a really good surveillance camera in the 200 dollar range. At least that's been my experience thus far.

 An excellent car anti-vandal tool (made in Korea by Menix) May 17, 2005
I bought this tiny camera from a small security website. My use was to catch a suspected vandal of my car. Essentially the camera is both a motion detector and an imager in one. I paid $200 for mine which seems to be standard everywhere I found it.
This camera is amazing! Its images are black and white, but extremely clear. It even caught cars passing by my car in a relatively still image. I can see people's faces just fine with it.
The camera can be connected to a video monitor or TV with the supplied video cable. There is no audio. I ordered a separate 9V battery adapter so I could power the camera without using the car's lighter adapter. I did not get a car lighter adapter with the camera, but I saw one mentioned on another site. It only came with an AC adapter. I'm not sure if this is standard or if I was ripped off. Maybe it's normally for use in a house or apartment.
There is a menu you can access using the supplied remote controls (you must view the menu with a TV/monitor). These remotes are the same size as my car alarm remotes. The menu allows you to control how many images to shoot in a row as long as there is movement (the camera only takes pictures when the image is changed) as well as lots of other features. This means you are not wasting space saving pictures of nothing. It can hold 271 pictures according to the manual. I've saved up to 42 with no issues. The media that holds the images is flash memory.
This is a fantastic little gizmo with a wide range of usages. I highly recommend it. The only reasons I can't give it a 5 are lack of color image and having to connect to a video source to see the images. Otherwise, it more than suits my needs. I plan to buy another one soon.
